SONUX started with a simple irritation: software could already beatmatch, but nothing could actually mix — hear a track's structure, wait for the phrase, move the bass at the right bar, the way a working DJ does without thinking.

So we built an engine that listens the way DJs listen. Neural beat and structure detection finds what's actually in the music — the phrases, the drops, the outros — and every transition is planned on the bar grid, then explained in plain language. Not a crossfade on a timer. A decision.

Sonux, Inc. was founded in New York in 2026 by Reaj Phan, who started the company at eighteen — directing the engineering with AI tools and an unreasonable number of late nights. The product is in private beta with a public launch planned for 2027: first for DJs who want a co-pilot, then for venues that deserve better than a playlist on shuffle.
